Capturing Moments That Count

One of my favorite parts of production is getting to meet so many unique people and hearing their stories. For several years I wanted to sit down with my grandparents and capture some of their stories. But life felt busy and I kept telling myself, I’ll get to it. In 2019 a thought came to my heart, “You don’t have as much time as you think you have.” I heeded the prompt and made time to capture a short film with my grandparents sharing some of their personal history. I’m so thankful I did! Six months later the world went into the 2020 quarantine and visiting my grandparents was no longer easy. Not long afterwards my grandpa’s health declined and he passed away. Now as I sit and watch my grandparents’ film, it is so special to hear their voices and laughter again and remember our times together.

We can greatly benefit and learn from those who have walked through life and gained insight through experience. But it takes being intentional and making space to share and listen. I would love to help you capture and preserve your family stories as heirlooms to share with the next generation.
